Circumcision Clinic

What is the circumcision?

Circumcision is a procedure that the foreskin folding on glance of penis will be removed.

What are the advantages of circumcision?

There are a number of potential advantages associated with circumcising boys shortly after they are born. For example:

  • Reduces the risk of developing a urinary tract infection (UTI), which include infections of any part of the urinary system, such as the bladder
  • Reduces the risk of getting some types of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as HIV
  • circumcision reduces the risk of developing cancer of the penis (penile cancer)

What are the complications?

  • Reduced sensitivity – an uncircumcised penis is more sensitive than a circumcised penis, meaning that circumcised men may experience less sensitivity during sex and prolonger onset of ejaculation versus early ejaculation.
  • Complications of circumcision – such as bleeding and post-operative infection – which can be minimized and managed a by special techniques during surgery such as Free Hand technique and well equipped surgery such as Electrocautery coagulation instrument.  [We have been using in our clinic]

Which technique do we use in our clinic?

Every individual should be examined prior to operation and according to the age and anatomy, decision will be taken and will discuss.

But usually Free Hand Technique is preferred that is the penis will be numbed by local anaesthesia and foreskin will be cut and sutured by dissolvable suture material to have a fine and good result.

How is the healing progress?

Straight after the procedure the person can walk but recommended avoid major physical activities for 5 days after the procedure.

Recommended daily cleaning the wound by antiseptic medicines.

May wound produce some clear yellow discharge and develop little swelling which can be normal.

Usually the wound heals in 5 to 7 days.
