What is MyMedicare?
MyMedicare is a voluntary program that allows you to register with your preferred GP and general practice. By registering, you're telling Medicare which practice you consider your usual healthcare home, enabling better coordination of your healthcare and access to longer consultations when you need them.
Registration is completely free and gives you and your GP the opportunity to work together more closely on your health needs.
Who Can Register?
- Australian residents with a valid Medicare card
- You can register with one GP practice at a time
- You can change your registered practice at any time
- Children and dependents can be registered by their parent or guardian
